Sencha is a type of Japanese Ryokucha (green tea) which is prepared by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water. This tea from the Shizuoka prefecture contains sencha with cherry leaves. Sencha tea leaves are dense in nutrients and provide many health benefits along with relaxation.

Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Shizuoka has the ideal climate for growing tea and is the largest tea producer in Japan. Since 1859, the year Yokohama harbor opened for foreign trade, the export of Japanese tea has been steadily increasing. Increased demand has resulted in excellent quality control and consistency. Various new blends of tea are constantly being tested to satisfy different tastes throughout the world.

We welcome all tea enthusiasts to join us learn more about the thousand year tea culture, with one hope, that each visit will provide excitement, knowledge and to experience tea in the best form possible.
"The Philosophy of Tea is not mere aestheticism ... for it expresses conjointly with ethics and religion our whole point of view about man and nature. It is hygiene, for it enforces cleanliness; it is economics, for it shows comfort in simplicity rather than in the complex and costly; it is moral geometry, inasmuch as it defines our sense of proportion to the universe." - Kakuzo Okakura
