Established in 1865, Hamasa-En provides a variety of tea products. Hamasa-En Organic Matcha can be used for tea ceremony or your favorite matcha drinks.

Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Shizuoka has the ideal climate for growing tea and is the largest tea producer in Japan. Since 1859, the year Yokohama harbor opened for foreign trade, the export of Japanese tea has been steadily increasing. Increased demand has resulted in excellent quality control and consistency. Various new blends of tea are constantly being tested to satisfy different tastes throughout the world.

"The Philosophy of Tea is not mere aestheticism ... for it expresses conjointly with ethics and religion our whole point of view about man and nature. It is hygiene, for it enforces cleanliness; it is economics, for it shows comfort in simplicity rather than in the complex and costly; it is moral geometry, inasmuch as it defines our sense of proportion to the universe." - Kakuzo Okakura

My bf has one of these but he brought it from a Japanese store that's really far away. I'm very particular with which matcha powder I'd like to use, so I was so glad I was able to find one here and it tasted the exact same as his! Love the quality of this matcha powder- will buy again when I run out.
